Community Action Partnership of Providence (CAPP)

CAPP is a Rhode Island  non-profit  organization with the mission of working in partnership with the community, provides culturally competent supportive services and programs to Providence residents in need to promote their achievement of economic self-sufficiency. Through RWU’s Center for Workforce and Professional Development (CWPD) that was created to meet the needs of the ever-changing global market, CAPP and RWU collaborate on the development of various vocational educational and job skills training programs to be offered through the DHS R.I. Works Job Training and Placement Pre-Certification Program (“RI Works”).  RI Works provides funding, paid for by DHS, for Rhode Island residents to enroll in educational training programs that will enhance their employment prospects.
